The mighty Avros Lancaster bomber is escorted by a Hawker Hurricane and a Supermaine Spitfire, the two legendary fighters from the eponymous battle in late 1940. These fighters carried “The Few” in their near-endless struggle against the massed strength of the Luftwaffe.
